Mortgage Bankers writes: The cost of financing apartment acquisitions and refinancing maturing apartment loans held to record lows in the first quarter, reported Chandan Economics, New York. "This has exerted upward pressure on asset values," said Sam Chandan, CEO of Chandan Economics. “Unprecedented capital market conditions continued to add buoyancy to asset values in the first quarter, even in segments of the market where rent growth has shown signs of slowing."
